This Oreck Magnesium Upright Vacuum Cleaner is amazing. For as ightweight as it is, you don't expect it to perform well but not so!!You can easily put it on a lower speed, so it doesn't catch on throw rugs. If it does try to "eat" a lightweight rug - it shuts itself off, automatically!! I have cats and their litter boxes are in the garage thru a pet door.

This vacuum picks up every bit and cleans right up against the baseboard, not something my old vacuum would normally do. I would highly recommend this Oreck Magnesium Upright Vacuum to anyone wanting to make their cleaning job a lot easier!! The price on Amazxx is about $50 less than on the Oreck website and I didn't find it anywhere else at any better price.

We've had Hoover, Eureka, Dust Devil, and Kenmore vacuums. The Oreck 2100RHS is as good as any of them, has ample suction, has a nice long cord, is lightweight, gets into corners and under furniture with little effort.

My house is two levels, carpeted stairs and some wall to wall carpet in long hall and one bedroom, some rugs but mostly bare hardwood floors and tile mixed in. This model Oreck Commercial 2100RHS vac is my favorite vacuum because it keeps its strong suction going longest and is nice and light, easy to use on the carpeted stairs and to carry upstairs."

"I was forced to buy a new vacuum cleaner because my Dyson couldn't move across my new carpet that I just had put in. Never dreamed I needed to take it into consideration when choosing my carpet. My 2-year old ball Dyson would literally not move an inch on it.

I was nervous as I turned it on to try it out on my new carpet but there was no need because it worked fantastic - on the carpet and my hardwood floors as well. My Dyson is supposed to be self-adjusting but it couldn't. The bags are a drag again but dirty carpet is a bigger drag! The Hoovers are amazing. I will keep my Dyson to use for the accessory stuff but that's a really expensive parts vacuum!"
