Superior to a Dyson! Reviews Hoover Platinum Lightweight Upright Vacuum with Canister, Bagged, UH30010COM

I have owned many vacuums in my years, and yet this Hoover Platinum Lightweight Upright Vacuum one has stood out as awesome for several reasons. This is my favorite vacuum ever! Huge suction power cleans carpets beautifully; it's lightweight and transportable; the automatic feature allows me to go from my plush living room carpet, to my ceramic tile in the kitchen, to wood floors in foyer with ease.

I own shag carpet, which was popular a few years ago, that has unfortunately not lived up to it's promise. I was told it wouldn't show footprints through your carpet where you walk in high traffic areas. Although this is true, it's much worse. It now looks like a running track through certain parts of the high traffic areas.

The hallway and living room are the worst. I use a carpet rake, which by the way does not work well. After using this Hoover Platinum Lightweight Upright Vacuum, my friese carpet looks brand new.

I almost couldn't believe it. I have had professional carpet cleaners tell me to junk the carpet and buy new. It is amazing, but the suction is incredible. I almost filled an entire bag on the first round through the house. My husband was a little upset at me for even buying a dyson after we purchased the carpet new, and the dyson didn't have enough suction to clean the carpet.

I am really upset at myself for spending over $500 on a dyson 4 years ago, that really almost ruined our carpet. I thought the world of dyson and nobody could tell me there was a better vacuum anywhere, but here I am saying "I was wrong." I now plan on purchasing another Hoover Platinum vacuum so I will have more than one....

Performance wise, it is as good as any home vacuum out there. Better than our previous Dyson for sure. With 2 pets, hair can accumulate quickly, but the Hoover Platinum Lightweight leaves the carpet completely refreshed and clean, almost like new. After one use, I could tell that this vacuum was picking up things that the Dyson had not. The air smelled fresher and the carpet was completely absent of particles our Dyson would have failed to pick up.

I can't say enough about how beautiful my carpet looks now. I no longer use the carpet rake, because this vacuum is better than the rake. My families allergies have calmed down now that we have four years worth of dirt removed from our shag carpet. 

The only negative thing that I could even say about this is that this Hoover Platinum Lightweight Upright Vacuum with Canister, Bagged, UH30010COM is definitely not inexpensive, but compared to the Dyson vacuums this is FAR more affordable. With my allergies though and the way it contains the dust in our home, it is an expense I am willing to pay.
