I love this Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away NV501. I have had very expensive vacuums and this ranks right up there without the big price tag. Another reviewed mentioned how gaudy and flashy this was. Who cares, it's a vacuum cleaner!

It's small, light weight, great suction and takes up very little closet space. This Shark NV501 Rotator Professional Lift Away Upright, Bagless Canister Vacuum is the best. We're three months in and it has exceeded all expectations. The Shark replaced an ancient Hoover whose motor will last forever, but the poor suction, lack of attachments, and smelly filter bag made it expendable. Love this!

This is a VERY good vacuum with plenty of attachments and GREAT suction. When the rollers are on it self-propels making forward motion easy. I like the lift-away canister for doing stairs. What really puzzles me about this vacuum however is the caddy. 

We chose this Shark NV501 Rotator Professional Lift Away Upright, Bagless Canister Vacuum over a Dyson based on both price and review rating, and, straight up, this is the best vacuum we've ever had.This machine picks up every single piece of hair from ALL of our rugs, with the brush on. With the brush off, it picks up every bit of dust, dirt, animal hair, cat food, crumbs, etc. The head of the vacuum is made for easy maneuvering, much like the Dyson ball. 

I never thought I would write a review on a vacuum but this one is great. Anyways, I had just vacuumed my home a couple days ago with my 8 year old Oreck XL. Overall a very good vacuum and price is excellent. The Shark NV501 Rotator Professional Lift Away Upright is pretty quiet too, thank goodness. No itchy or sneezing with the Shark, even when it's right by my face while I was vacuuming under my bed.

The only problem with the Professional Lift-Away compared to the Elite Professional is that the Professional Lift-Away requires special attachments for hardwood cleaning and the Elite Professional Lift-away Rotator goes from thick carpet to bare floors with adjustments necessary.
