Excellent vacuum for the price. If pet hair is your issue I doubt you can do better than the Shark Lift Away. For non pet owners perhaps look around but keep this high on your list of choices! This Shark Navigator Lift-Away Vacuum NV352 product earned 678 customer reviews and 88% are satisfied (as 26/02/2014).
I've seen a number of favorable reviews comparing this Shark to the Dyson line, and I can understand why. Very powerful little vacuum, especially on floors. There are better ways of cleaning bare floors, but for carpets, this is hard to beat.
