This Hoover UH72400 WindTunnel is a good product with excellent suction.  Better than I expected, suprised at the amount of dirt and pet hair pulled out of the carpets. Realy like the switch over to a hand held vaccume for edges and corners.

The suction on this little bugger is incredible. I couldn't believe I had all that dirt built up over the years from using inferior vacs. I thought it was going to suck the color out of the rug. The price on this little super Hoover WindTunnel Air Steerable Upright Vacuum, UH72400 was great.

The weight is light so I don't have to rest after I pushing around a heavy vac. My husband is happy because I'm not calling him to carry it up the stairs. I can now vac between small spaces without stopping to move stuff, the steerable feature ends the struggle to turn into areas that I would usually have to finagle the vac back and forth before I finally had it in place to get the nasty pet hair or whatever.

I was thinking the steerable option would be kind of a gimmick, but I have to admit, I really love it! It makes it so much easier to maneuver around furniture and just get to all areas of the room quickly.  Emptying the bagless vacuum is as easy as advertised and neat enough that it can be done over a trash can in the house. So overall I am pleased with this vacuum but it's far from perfect.

• Nicely styled and designed. It's almost a shame to keep this handsome guy hidden in a dark closet.
• Pickup and suction are very good.
• The above floor hose is flexible and convenient.
• The cord is long enough for my purposes, only have to unplug once to do the entire downstairs.
• Steerable is certainly true about this machine. It turns agilely and with its smaller head can get into recesses my now departed Hoover couldn't reach.
• Volume is certainly tolerable and perhaps several decibels lower than other vacuums I have used.
• Placement of the on button and the brushroll button is ergonomic and convenient.
• Long lasting filter and long guarantee.

• I really miss having a headlight.
• The two included above ground tools are cheap looking and just passable. I saved a rotating brush from my old Hoover and use it with this new vacuum.
• There's no hook near the top of the handle to affix the cord while vacuuming. I just hold the cord in my hand against the handle, and for the most part that works.
• There's no suction control.
• There is no height adjustment.

This Hoover is self adjusting. You may not like how it feels when you have a low commercial like carpet. The vac stays very low and you feel like your suctioning up the rug but no fear. I have not had any damaged rugs just super clean rugs.
