The feel is amazing! One great feature on the motor is that it will stop right away if it picks up hard objects (like a sock, wire, or something sharp) to prevent further damage to the vacuum and item.

The Miele S7580 Swing w/Microset & SFD20 motor is powerful yet very quiet and does a fine job at any level and there are 6 different settings from low to high (actually 7 if you count 'Automatic'). On 'Auto' mode, the S7 will sense and adjust to the level of suction depending on what you are vacuuming when using the tools, or depending on the floor type.

I've had several vacuum cleanings over the years. Central Vac's uprights and canisters, Kirby, Hoover, Royal, Electrolux and Shark. The Miele S7 Series is hands down the best of the best. Very quite with strong suction and nice attachments. Really like the fact I am able to adjust the suction settings for different situations.

The high (loudest) is still much lower in decibel compared to industry standards and I can actually carry on a phone conversation while vacuuming, just amazing! The number one thing for me was how great my carpet felt afterward. The Miele not only cleans but also helped brought my flat carpet back to life, it felt more plush after I vacuumed.

Overall, this Miele S7580 Swing w/Microset & SFD20 Flexible Crevice Tool Upright Vacuum is the best vacuum I have ever laid my hands on, to be honest I have never enjoyed vacuuming until now. It's an expensive unit, but then again you're buying German-made quality and supposedly built to last for many years to come, and for that it is worth every dollar. 

Miele S7580 vacuums feature a 12-foot integrated flexible hose that makes cleaning upholstery, ceilings and drapery an easy task. Coupled with a long electrical cord, S7’s overall cleaning radius is 54 feet.
